Josie Ledbetter qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2004 from the University of East London and specialised in neurological rehabilitation in 2006, working in the private sector since 2008. She gained experience within the NHS, working at the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham, Newark Hospital and the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester. She gained a Masters degree in 2008.
Josie made the decision to move into the private sector in 2008/9, which allowed her the opportunity to spend more time actively rehabilitating her patients who had moved past the acute phases of their neurological condition and helped them improve their level of function and movement in everyday life. She has been practicing as a Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist for the last 6 years in a neurological rehabilitation centre based in Hampshire and has now returned to Leicestershire to help set up neurophysiotherapy with EMPC.
Josie has trained in the Bobath concept, Functional Electrical Stimulation, Myofascial Release techniques, Muscle Energy techniques and is also a Pilates Instructor.Back to Our Team page
